Privacy Policy — Kasa Kay

Last updated: October 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Kasa Kay (the "App"), published by Vishal Manohar / Soham Technologies under the name Vishal Creation ("we", "us"), handles information when you use the App. By using the App you agree to this policy.

1. What Kasa Kay does

Kasa Kay is a messaging app that lets you chat with your contacts and share text, photos, videos and files. It also lets you optionally connect your own Google Drive so that shared files and chat backups can be stored in your own Drive storage.

2. Information we handle

Profile and contact details: the name or identifier you use in the App and the identifiers of the contacts you chat with, needed to deliver your messages.
Messages and media: the text, photos, videos and files you send or receive, needed to show your conversations and deliver them to the other person.
On-device data: a local copy (cache) of your chats is stored on your phone so that you can read earlier messages, including when you are offline.
Google account information (only if you connect Google Drive): your Google account email address and basic profile (name), used only to show which account is connected.

3. Google user data and Google Drive

If you choose to connect Google Drive, the App requests these Google permissions (scopes):

openid, userinfo.email, userinfo.profile — to sign you in and identify the connected Google account.
drive.file — to create, upload, read and delete only the files and folders created by Kasa Kay in your Google Drive. The App cannot see or access your other Drive files.

Files are stored in your own Google Drive and use your own Drive storage. We do not receive, copy or store your Google Drive files on our own servers, and the developer cannot browse your Drive.

Kasa Kay's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only to provide the Drive storage/backup feature you requested; it is not used for advertising, not sold, and not shared with third parties.

4. How we use information

To deliver messages and show your chats.
To store and restore your files and backups in your Google Drive (if you connect it).
To keep the App working, fix bugs and improve reliability.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your messages or Google user data with third parties, except where required by law or where needed to operate the messaging service (for example, delivering your message to the person you are chatting with).

6. Data retention and deletion

Chat data on your phone stays until you delete it or uninstall the App.
Files in Google Drive stay in your Drive until you delete them. You can delete the Kasa Kay folder and files yourself at any time.
You can disconnect Google Drive in the App, or remove Kasa Kay's access anytime at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
To request deletion of any data we hold about you, email us at the address below and we will respond within a reasonable time.

7. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

Kasa Kay is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page with the updated date.
